AMITA Corporation (Parent company to WorldReach Software) is looking for a full-time Marketing Communications Manager.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the marketing communications program. Identify program opportunities; build the communications strategies and implementation plans.
  • Lead or significantly contribute to marketing program strategy, sales readiness and channel/partner support (as per the Pragmatic Marketing Framework).
  • Identify, recommend, organize, direct and participate in customer seminars, trade shows and other tactical marketing program activities.
  • Selects contractors and administers contracts for marketing support services such as advertising, sales promotions and event participation. Directs staff as required.
  • Develop corporate and product identity programs and ensures consistent application.
  • Work closely with sales, other marketing managers and appropriate product or project managers to understand and support their strategies, initiatives and programs.
  • Develops strategies to increase market penetration and sales volumes.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of marketing communications strategies in the targeted markets.
  • Direct the preparation or provide support as required for AMITA internal and external newsletters.
  • Contribute to market research activities to identify/refine: target industry segments, customer profiles; market segmentation; industry trends and key issues.
  • Contact customers and prospective customers as part of test marketing to determine their needs and degree of interest and satisfaction with company products/services.
  • Monitor competitor sales effort and strategies; pass information to the management team.
  • Works on assigned projects or special initiatives in marketing and sales.
  • Prepares reports and makes presentations to management and others on progress and results. Provide guidance and advice as required for AMITA’s IT services and innovation based projects or product opportunities to help achieve their marketing objectives.

Skills and Experience:

  • Over 10 years of experience in marketing communications as a main focus and other marketing related roles, specifically product marketing, with an international component.
  • Experience supervising and coordinating the work of 2-3 staff and providing leadership, mentoring and priorities to the marketing communications function or group.
  • Ability to lead marketing projects, support products and large project requirements.
  • Extensive experience in product marketing, product management and social media marketing considered an asset
  • Experience in identifying marketing communications requirements with executive management and across the management team and preparing plans, obtaining resources (internal and external under contract) to accomplish the requirements/goals in the stated timelines.
  • Excellent client facing and communications skills with the ability to explain and possibly demonstrate a complex software product/solution.
  • Support relationships with partners and integrators on larger opportunities ($1 - $5 million) requiring solution selling.
  • Experience marketing or supporting sales outside North America, preferably to governments.
  • University degree or additional equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Pragmatic Marketing Frameworks and the ability to speak a second language would be considered assets.

** This position will require travel on a periodic basis (likely quarterly).
